Adidas’ “Pride Collection” Helps Fund Anti-LGBTQ Politicians
The 2022 Adidas Pride Collection features the Stan Smith Pride shoe. Smith has given thousands to right-wing politicians, including: former president Donald Trump, U.S. Representative Steve Scalise, U.S. Senators Tim Scott and Jim Demint, and many others. Smith gets paid royalties for every shoe sold and he uses it to help fund hate.
Among those Stan Smith has funded:
Rep. Scalise: has "among the most anti-LGBT reputations of any lawmaker" according to the Washington Blade.
Sen. Scott: said that homosexuality is morally wrong; sponsored anti-LGBTQ foster care bill.
Sen. Demint: called for government ban on gay teachers.

In 2020 alone Smith gave more than $27,000 to right-wing politicians. Incredibly, Adidas is now helping him profit off of Pride so he can give even more to those who stand against Pride.
Smith's contract gives him royalties from the sale of every Stan Smith shoe for the rest of his life.
